As an adventure photographer, I strive to find compelling landscapes that inspire people and can tell a story on their own. I chose the name Rugged Lens because it's not always about an easy shot from right outside your car or campsite, sometimes you need to work for it. Most of my images come from extensive hikes into the back country of the Midwest which present their own challenges.

I personally believe that overcoming these challenges helps me focus more as a photographer and truly appreciate the nature that I am trying to capture, as well as deliver a truly unique perspective.
